Ant Farm Box Cover Circa 1970

FUN FACTS!

Novelty toy-maker Milton Levine came up with the idea for the Ant Farm in 1956.

Male, red harvester ants are mailed to you. Ants are not in the box!

Federal Law prohibits having female Queen ants.

By 2004, over 20 million Ant Farms have been sold.

Ants now live 8-12 months in an Ant Farm.

According to the "Ant Watcher's Manual", ants "talk", play, sleep and take baths.

The main cause of premature ant death is over-feeding.
