Other Classic Toys:

In 1932, carpenter Ole Kirk Christiansen created a Toy Company that made wooden pull toys.

He called the company LEGO - from the Danish words LEG GODT - which means play well.

In 1949, he introduced Automatic Binding Bricks. Tubes were added to the bottom of the bricks in 1958 to create the LEGO we have today.

The Lego Group estimates that it has produced over 400 billion LEGO blocks.
